Kevin Hart turned 44 a few days ago. But as always, the actor feels young at heart. But now he has been through something that has changed the way he thinks about getting old.
He took to social media to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, the age of 40 is real. To all my men and women out there that are 40 years old and above, it’s not a game,” Hart shared in his post. “Respect that age, or that age will make you respect it. It only made me like it more.”
“I have to use a wheelchair. Why? “Well, because I tried to do some young things and was told to sit down,” the comedian went on to say.
All of this came from an ill-fated sports event. Hart had dared ex-New England Patriots star Stevan Ridley to a 40-yard dash, and it did not end well for him. The comedian then went on to explain how this situation even came about.
“This debate was based on who’s faster. Those that know me know that I’m pretty fast,” Hart recalled with some humor. “Stevan told Kevin, ‘There’s no way you’ll beat me,'” Stevan is an ex-NFL running back who played for the New England Patriots. Very good guy… [So we get out there, we go run the 40-yard dash.”
“Guys, I blew all my s**t,” Hart said before going on to describe how he hurt himself. “I tore my lower abdomen; my abductors are torn; I don’t know what that is, but I tore them; I tore those, too. I can’t walk.”
“What do we have to compete for at our age? What should I do? Why did I bother to run? Hart said, “That was the dumbest thing ever; now I can’t walk.” “Son, what did I think? I must be the dumbest person in the world.”
In the caption for the video, he simply wrote, “44 and sitting my ass down! I’ve got to be the dumbest man living! Why am I doing this? I pooped my pants. I’m through. FML.”
His famous friends had his back. “Getting older is real!” said actor Will Smith. Kev, get well! Ridley also posted the video to his story and added comments. He wrote, “I saw @TomBrady do it at your age, so I figured you had the juice too big, bro!” But Ridley continued by saying, “My bad, @KevinHart4Real! “Get better and keep making us all laugh!”
Kevin Hart has been hurt badly before, so this is not the first time. In 2019, he was in a car accident that left him seriously hurt and in the hospital for ten days. He had three broken vertebrae and was in a lot of pain. The star had to have surgery right away, and then he had to spend months getting better.
