Amidst the laughter and chaos, many online users speculated on what the young boy said to the former president. Some claimed he bluntly told Trump, “I want you to shut your mouth up.” Others suggested he declared, “You are not the president, you need to go away.”
X also seemed to shush someone off-camera and instructed them to “shut your mouth.” At one point, he even stuck his fingers in Musk’s ears, prompting laughter from reporters.
Musk, visibly amused but slightly exasperated, acknowledged his son’s behavior, saying, “I thought my son might enjoy this, but he’s sticking his fingers in my ears and stuff.” He then turned to X and said, “Hey! Stop that.”

Following the viral moment, X’s mother, Grimes (Claire Boucher), expressed concern over her son’s unexpected spotlight.
Responding to a post on Musk’s platform, X, she wrote, “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank you for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Musk and Grimes, who dated for four years before separating in 2022, share three children: X Æ A-12, Techno Mechanicus (2), and Exa Dark Sideræl (3). Despite their split, both remain actively involved in their children’s lives.
